Analysis of Common Faults in Starter Motors

Analysis of Common Faults in Starter Motors

1. To start the motor, turn it on by pressing a horn, try it, and then short the conductors to the two terminals of the electromagnetic switch. 2. Possible reasons for starting the motor powerlessness include battery loss, poor starting circuit contact, one-way clutch slipping, electric drive and magnetic field rubbing, use of electric drive and magnetic field core due to excessive bearing wear, crankshaft bending or improper installation. Phase wipe, drive gear or flywheel ring gear damaged, loose. 3. There is a phenomenon that the top gear cannot be engaged. Possible causes include a serious wear of the drive gear and the flywheel ring gear, or a premature contact between the “crimp” moving contact plate and the incoming contact, and the imbalance between the electric crankshaft and the flywheel center. 4 After the starter switch is released, the starter motor still rotates. Possible causes are static contact and moving contact plate sintering. The electromagnetic switch return spring is invalid, broken or too soft, and the electromagnetic switch core connecting screw is screwed out too long. When this fault occurs, the battery cable should be disconnected immediately, otherwise the starter motor will be burned.
