Fujitsu develops the world's thinnest palm vein sensor to be used in mobile devices

According to foreign media reports, Japan's Fujitsu Lab has developed an ultra-miniature palm vein recognition sensor, known as the world's smallest and thinnest palm vein recognition sensor. According to reports, the palm vein sensor uses the blood vessel mode for personal identification, and the human blood vessels are black under the near infrared ray.

Most importantly, the previous palm vein sensor measures about 3 cm, and the sensor area developed by Fujitsu Labs is now only 16 square millimeters and 5 mm thick. According to the report, Fujitsu has built the sensor on a tablet and a compact notebook. They found that on a laptop, this sensor works well and can be identified by the palm of the hand.

Fujitsu Labs said that although fingerprints can provide surface information on the palm, fingerprints are difficult to use in some cases. However, vein recognition is different. It acquires the internal information of the hand and is applicable in all cases.

Finally, Fujitsu Labs said that they will further develop ultra-miniature palm vein recognition sensors, which will be applied to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets in the near future.
