Japan's Ministry of Agriculture bids for 146,786 tons of edible wheat

According to Japanese Ministry of Agriculture officials, the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture will seek 146,786 tons of edible wheat during the tender meeting concluded on Thursday.

Including 66,021 tons of U.S. black spring wheat, 38,918 tons of Canadian U.S. red spring wheat and 41.847 tons of Australian standard white wheat, which are shipped in three separate vessels and scheduled for November.

Last week, the Ministry of Agriculture of Japan purchased 129,482 tons of wheat from the United States, Canada and Australia in November.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Japan sought to purchase 56,000 tons of edible wheat, 13,000 tons of edible barley, and 2,000 tons of beer barley on a simultaneous sale and purchase tender held on Tuesday. The shipment date of this batch of wheat is scheduled for December 31st.

Of these, 50,000 tons of edible wheat and 12,000 tons of barley were shipped using large cargo ships, while 6,000 tons of wheat and 1,000 tons of barley were shipped using containers. All beer barley is shipped in containers.

According to the simultaneous bidding and tendering system, the end user can negotiate the grain price, quality and origin of the grain as a whole, and then submit the offer to the trading company through the Ministry of Agriculture.
