Cultivation and stocking techniques of rainbow trout larvae

The larger the fry size, the stronger the vitality. The floating juvenile is the stage with the smallest specification after the fry is hatched, so that the newly hatched fry is very tender and weak, dark and dark, and the activity is slow. Because the yolk sac supplies nutrients, no feeding is required at this time. When the yolk sac absorbs 2/3, it begins to float and can open up to artificial feed. At this time, the rainbow trout fry were 17 to 30 mm in length and 60 to 260 mg in weight. Because the newly hatched juveniles are very delicate, the cultivation of floating juveniles is the most difficult, most technical, and the lowest survival rate in the breeding process of rainbow trout. Especially during the first month of eating, we must carefully manage and feed.

Larval culture:

The cultivation pond area is 10 to 200 square meters, width is 1 to 2 meters, and length is 2 to 6 times wider. The water inlets are arranged in parallel and the water depth is 20-30 cm. Water quality should meet the requirements of GB11607. The suitable water temperature is 10-12 °C.

If you take a pool of water in parallel, you need to set up an upgrade near the water source. Thoroughly clean the culture tank before use and disinfect with 20 mg/l bleach or 200 mg/l quicklime. The injected new water can only be used once and should not be reused.

The cultivation pond is generally a rectangular cement pool or a tile pool, and the area can be large or small, generally 20 to 100 square meters. The gate of the inlet is set with a gate net to prevent the entry of harmful organisms and the escape of fish fry; the width of the outlet is preferably wider, and an anti-escaping gate is made with an appropriate wire mesh. There must be a certain degree of inclination from the inlet to the outlet to facilitate the collection and discharge of pollutants.

Pay attention to the amount of water supply and water flow rate, avoid accumulation, and cause suffocation to die. Incubation of juvenile fish can be stocked at 10,000 square metres per square metre in each flat trough, and 2 to 40,000 fish per square metre in juvenile fish ponds. The water injection volume needs 30 liters/minute or more per 100,000 fish heads, preferably 60. Increase the water injection capacity so that the amount of water is adjusted as the fry grows.

Floating juveniles do not like light, to avoid exposure to bright light, water should be appropriate, juvenile fish is not affixed to the drainage valve or net.
