Living in sub-tidal water depths of more than 10 meters to 70 meters of sandy seabed, usually using trawl to capture. From the stage of growth and development to maturity, the horned snail is 2-3 years old, with large body, meat, and delicious taste. It has nourishing effect and is a high-quality sea product. Three marine scientific and technological personnel are aiming at the development of artificial breeding of snails with promising market prospects and great potential. In June 2004, the project was approved by the Science and Technology Department of the Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Department. Under the circumstance of the Xiamen Ocean Development Research Institute’s attention and financial support, scientists and technicians repeatedly experimented to find a set of baits, salinity and temperature ecological conditions and mating and spawning conditions for the mating and mating of snails. The technical route to juveniles and larvae was developed, and ecological conditions, habits, and food habits such as suitable temperature, bait, and salinity of snail broodstock, juvenile snails, and larvae were developed. It provides basic data for the development and application of a large number of artificial breeding seedlings and has accumulated experience and technology. At present, scientific and technical personnel are further expanding seedling experiments in order to obtain more scientific and technical evidence.

Recently, the author learned from the phase-by-phase acceptance meeting of the project “Spiral Loach (Slightly Horned Lobe) Artificial Seedling Development and Application†that the scientific and technical personnel of the Third Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Ocean Three Institutes) started artificial convolvulus. The nursery was successful. This indicates that China's marine monoculture has added a new breeding breed, which is of great economic value.
