**1. Quality of Raw Materials**
First, it's crucial to harvest the forage at the right time. The nutritional content varies greatly depending on the growth stage of the plant. Grasses should be harvested at the heading stage, while legumes are best collected during the budding stage. Additionally, selecting materials with high sugar content is essential. Lactic acid bacteria need about 1% to 5% sugar to multiply rapidly and create a good silage environment.
