Potatoes lack fattening symptoms

Nitrogen deficiency: Plants grow slowly and appear pale green or yellowish. The older leaves at the edges turn light yellow and eventually dry up. This deficiency often leads to stunted growth and weak overall development. Phosphorus deficiency: Leaves, petioles, and leaf margins curl upward. The leaves are smaller in size, dark green in color, and the plant becomes short or thin. Early leaf drop may occur. In some cases, rust-brown spots or sores can be found inside the tubers. Potassium deficiency: Growth slows down, and the internodes become shorter, causing the plant to bend or droop. Leaves curl, shrink, and their veins appear sunken. The leaf tips and margins change from green to dark green, and purple discoloration may appear on the leaves. Several lower leaves wither, but the central part of the plant remains healthy. The plant is more vulnerable to bacterial infections, and the tubers show a gray interior. Calcium deficiency: New leaves become small, pale green, and their edges roll inward before dying. This condition affects the plant's ability to develop properly and can lead to weakened cell structures. Magnesium deficiency: Chlorosis starts at the base of the old leaves and spreads along the veins. Dead tissue between the veins forms brown spots, and the leaves curl upward. The veins become thick, dark, and slightly raised. Eventually, the affected leaves die off. Boron deficiency: The growing tip dies, while lateral buds grow rapidly, resulting in a compact, bushy appearance. Internodes shorten, and the plant becomes short and tangled. Leaves thicken, and their edges curl. Starch accumulates in the tissues, and prolonged deficiency causes the roots to become short, thick, and brown, leading to root death. The tubers are small, with brown vascular bundles and cracked skin.
