1. Egg selection Eggs used for hatching should be fresh, preferably eggs within a week. Eggs should be stored at 13 to 16 degrees Celsius and 75% relative humidity. Eggs can still be grown within 12 to 18 days of storage. Eggs hatched for more than 3 weeks of storage have reduced hatchability and cannot be grown. During storage, the small head of the egg faces up and turns the egg once a day. The shape of eggs should be normal, size should be moderate, deformity, serious contamination, cracked, thin shell, oversized or undersized eggs, should not be used as eggs
2. Eggs are sterilized before hatching. Commonly used disinfection method is formalin fumigation method, that is, using formalin 28 ml per cubic meter volume, 14 grams of potassium permanganate. Pour the formalin solution into the pan containing potassium permanganate, close the doors and windows, seal the gap, open the doors and windows after 30 minutes, clear the odor and incubate.
3. The hatching method can be hatched manually, or it can be hatched with hens. Incubators for artificial hatching must first be disinfected and then placed into eggs. The incubation period is 21-22 days. In the first 19 days after the eggs are hatched, the temperature in the incubator should be maintained at 37, 8 degrees Celsius, the relative temperature is maintained at 60%-65%, and the temperature is about 37 degrees Celsius in the 20th to 21st days. Relative humidity should be increased to 65% ~ 70%, the purpose is to prevent chicks villous shell, affecting hatching.
4. In the first 19 days after hatching, eggs were turned every 2 hours, and the degree of egg turning was 90 degrees. After 19 days, the embryos were transferred to the hatcher and the eggs should be stopped. During the later and later stages of hatching, the embryonic development is accelerated, and the calorific value increases, so that the temperature in the incubator is increased. In order to remove the excess calories, cool eggs can be produced. In the event of a power outage, the eggs should be cooled when they are overheated. Every cool egg for 10-15 minutes, generally cool to eggshell temperature can reach 32-33 degrees Celsius.
During hatching, eggs are usually treated twice. The first time the eggs were hatched, 7 days after hatching, the main culls were zygotes and dead embryos; the second time 14 days after hatching, embryonic eggs were sorted out. After hatching for 19 days, the egg is transferred from the egg tray to the hatching tray. The eggs are sent to the hatcher for hatching. The temperature is 37 degrees Celsius. At this time, the water tray can be properly watered to increase the temperature appropriately. When hatching was normal, the shells were generally started on 21 days, hatched on 22 days, and hatched on 23 days.
