1. **Cooling and Storage Method**: First, clean the soybean meal thoroughly. Then, blanch it in boiling water at 100°C for about two minutes. After removing it from the heat, immediately cool it in cold water until it reaches room temperature. Drain the excess water and place the beans into a plastic bag. Make sure to remove as much air as possible from the bag before sealing it. Place the sealed bag in a freezer set to -25°C for quick freezing. Once fully frozen, transfer the bags to a refrigerator or storage unit maintained at -18°C for long-term preservation. This method typically allows for storage of up to six months to one year.
2. **Small Package Storage Method**: Pack the beans into polyethylene plastic bags with a thickness of 0.1 mm, using 5 kg per bag. Seal the bags tightly and add 0.5 to 1 kg of slaked lime inside each bag to help absorb moisture. Store the bags in a warehouse and treat them with 0.01 ml/l of sec-butylamine for fumigation and preservation. Maintain the storage temperature between 8°C and 10°C, and inspect each bag every 10 to 14 days to ensure no signs of spoilage. This method is suitable for short-term storage, generally lasting up to 30 days.
