Let’s talk about my love affair with goat cheese—it’s real, folks. In this recipe, the sweetness of strawberries meets the creaminess of goat cheese, while the tangy zip of balsamic vinegar and fresh basil adds another dimension. Together, they form this perfect medley of flavors that just complement each other beautifully. And let me tell you, it’s a dish that could easily be the star of a romantic dinner at home for Valentine’s Day—or any day, really.

Speaking from experience, we actually made this late one night recently, just because we were craving something delicious. It was 10 p.m., and we weren’t even planning on eating dinner, but the idea of these bruschettas popped into our heads, and before we knew it, we had a plate full of them ready to enjoy.

Strawberry BruschettaAll you need to do is brush some slices of French baguette with olive oil and pop them in the oven until they’re golden and slightly crispy. Then, spread a layer of creamy goat cheese on top, add your strawberries, basil, and a drizzle of both olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Finish it off with a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper. Trust me, it’s a game-changer.

Strawberry and Goat Cheese Bruschetta

The Ingredients //
French baguette, sliced diagonally
Olive oil
4 oz goat cheese
1 cup strawberries, sliced or chopped
1 teaspoon sugar
2-3 basil leaves, thinly sliced
Balsamic vinegar
Cracked pepper

The Process //
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a small bowl, mix the strawberries with sugar and let them sit for about 30 minutes to macerate. This will help bring out their natural juices.
Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and brush generously with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for around 5 minutes, or until the bread is toasted to perfection.
Spread a thin layer of goat cheese over each slice of bread. Top with the sugared strawberries, drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and finish with a sprinkle of basil and cracked pepper. Serve immediately and savor every bite.
