2. Optimal sowing time. For summer sowing, it's best to plant between late June and early July. Use about 50 grams of seeds per acre, with seedlings aged between 25 to 30 days. Plant them in late July or early August. For autumn sowing, the ideal period is from late July to early August, using 40-50 grams of seeds per acre.

3. Seed treatment. Due to the high temperatures, drought, and rainy season during the seedling stage, it's recommended to soak and germinate the seeds before planting. Soak the seeds in cold water for about an hour, then wrap them in gauze and keep them at 15°C to 20°C. After 2-3 days, the seeds will be ready for sowing.

4. Field management. Select plots with good elevation, fertile soil, and good drainage, avoiding areas where Compositae crops were previously grown. Apply a base fertilizer of 5,000 kg of well-rotted manure per acre, along with 40 kg of diammonium phosphate, 20 kg of urea, and 20 kg of potassium sulfate, or 200-300 kg of wood ash. After sowing, place small arch sheds made of bamboo (2 or 4 meters long) over the seedbed and cover them with shade nets or old plastic sheets to protect against rain and reduce temperature. Keep the field consistently moist and the soil loose throughout the growing period. Apply foliar fertilizer 2-3 times during growth, typically using a 0.2% solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate or 0.2%-0.5% urea solution.

5. Proper harvesting. Harvest when the plant has 30-34 leaves and reaches a height of 45-48 cm. Cut the plants about 2-3 cm above the ground for sale, ensuring the quality and freshness of the product.
