Autumn duck breeding management technology>
Ducklings, whether bought or hatched naturally, should be first treated with a small amount of gypsum powder mixed into their food to help them digest better. It's important to provide them with brown sugar water or glucose regularly, especially during the first few days. For the first 7 days after hatching, ducklings should not be exposed to water and should not be kept in temperatures above 30°C. They need shaded areas to rest and should never be crowded together.
For the first week, feed them with soaked soft rice, which has been soaked in cold water for about 20 minutes. Feed them 5-6 times daily. After 4-5 days, you can start introducing a diluted salt solution. If the ducklings are still too young to eat on their own, assist them by feeding them 1-2 times manually.
After 7 days, begin training them for stocking, but avoid direct sunlight. Between 15-20 days, gradually reduce the number of feedings to 1-2 times per day. The best food at this stage is small worms and feces. At 20 days old, they can be released from stocking and allowed to forage on their own.
When choosing a stocking area, avoid places that are too low, near hot roads, sewage ditches, cold or fast-moving water sources, rivers, or fields that have recently been sprayed with pesticides. Also, avoid areas that have been affected by thunderstorms or floods. Always make sure the environment is safe and clean for the ducklings to grow strong and healthy.
